How Lapdogs Work

The core of the lapdog is a copper shielding material that shields ~80db of your close-range electromagnetic radiation (EMFs). EMFs are emitted from many things, including phones and tablets.

What does 80 db even mean, though?

“Decibel” is not really a unit of measurement. Instead, it is a way to describe the ratio of one intensity measurement to another. Expressing it this way is a useful for engineers to make comparisons. Using decibels, we can compare the field intensity before and after shielding. In other words, we can use it to compare electromagnetic fields with and without using the Lapdog.

See this chart:

How Well Lapdogs Work

It shows that 80db indicates about 99.99% shielding of the radiation from your devices. Woo hoo!
